President, Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO of Advanced Circuits, Mr. Yacoub oversees the corporate operations and strategic planning for Advanced Circuits. In that capacity, he directs the management team in the implementation of strategies and policies that will enhance the company's competitive and dominant position as one of the largest PCB fabricators in North America. Yacoub joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 1996 and in August of 2004 became President. His vision and direction has helped the company increase annual revenue to $80 million in 2010 thru expansion at the Aurora HQ facility and by acquisition.
In May 2009 began a strategic plan to expand capabilities and market outreach thru acquisition of select PCB companies, the being the acquisition of Circuit Board Express in Haverhill, MA, in May 2009. In March 2010, Circuit Express, located in Tempe, AZ, was added to the Advanced Circuits family of companies, the purchase of which ushered Advanced Circuits into the high-reliability, military/aerospace/defense, high-technology marketplace.
Yacoub came to Advanced Circuits to build on a vision of growth through delivering high quality printed circuit boards at a fair price to achieve the industry's best on-time delivery record. During his tenure, Advanced Circuits has become the premier North American PCB fabricator for not only prototypes but also large scale production. Expedites remain a speciality, and Advanced Circuits has become a "lifesaver" for many design engineers with the offering of exclusive services such as "FreeDFM" file check and "PCB Artist" layout software. He has provided consistent focus and discipline to all areas of the business and takes personal pride in the achievements of the organization. Most importantly, Yacoub truly cares about each employee and has helped foster a corporate culture that gives everyone an opportunity to share in the company's success.
Prior to joining Advanced Circuits, Yacoub was Vice President of Finance and Operations at Downs Supply Company. Before that, he was Vice President of Finance & Operations for St. Anthony's Hospital (Beth Israel), where he oversaw 300 employees and played a large role in handling the purchase of the hospital by Sisters of Charity. Yacoub began his career in finance as an accountant for Price Waterhouse Cooper. Twice he has received the prestigious Who's Who award from Sterling's Directory.
